Reminds me of the bicycle in the center of the villiage in "The Prisoner" When I was a kid I used to bike everywhere. I don't think I've been on one in fifteen years.
I heard an interesting talk last year about how we don't (though we need to) design our neigborhoods/streets/cities to accommodate cyclists and pedestrians. Bet a lot more people would ride their bikes if we did.
