Illustration Friday: Spotted

"Some painters transform the sun into a yellow spot; others transform a yellow spot into the sun." - Pablo Picasso

This is a drawing I pulled out of my archives...from my freshman year of college in fact. The only thing spotted about it is the technique, but I like to look at it every now and then to remind myself how something mundane can become more interesting when we make the effort to see it in a different way.

thanks all!

bubble - the yin yang was not intentional at the time but when i came back to it a while later i thought i must have been trying to tell myself something. =)

fuzhen - i think picasso's sun looks more like a purple cube

i enjoyed all of your illustrations btw!!

Very nice! You had a lot of patience to do this. :-) And glad I could remind you of a good Paris memory, it's such a magical place.
