Illustration Friday: Fat
Painting of the Venus of Willendorf and another ancient fertility figure from i-forget-where in Eastern Europe.

It might seem odd that we can revile fat as a nation even as we continue to grow heavier...but, if anything, holding ouselves up to impossible ideals of thinness makes it more likely to give up our efforts to be healthier in frustration.
And those impossible ideals, well apparently they're affecting men more than we think - incidence of anorexia and bulimia among men has been on the rise.
"No diet will remove all the fat from your body because the brain is entirely fat. Without a brain, you might look good, but all you could do is run for public office." - George Bernard Shaw

after sitting here 5 min. looking at it i got nothing, cept i like it alot. it has a lot of IT. wht ever it is.
sorry i cant explain it better.
a lot is right - i'll take that as a compliment =) today it led me to thoughts of ripe fruit on the vine; some days i look at this (it's hanging in my bathroom) and feel the need for a jog.
It kinda makes sense for mother nature to be a lil' plump. After all, if she were anemic and physically wasted, would she even be able to make it 70 degrees at the begining of the week and snow heavily three to four days later in Kalamazoo ?
Or am I being facetious...:-D
If I dood it, I get a whooping.
I dood it !
