'Tis the season for Lychee

What did I find at my neighborhood grocery yesterday but fresh lychee? Yum! They should be out and about for the next month in Asian markets. I see the canned version used more and more frequently to flavor beverages and cocktails these days, but the fresh fruit is something else. It tastes...fragrant...like the scent carried by a warm breeze flowing through a summer garden. Or something like that. Try it for yourself and send me a better description!

Am I the only one who thinks that photos looks like a dozen ants making off with the lychee. I thought so.
