Vegetarianism linked to higher IQ

Yes, folks, really.

According to a study that compared IQ scores of 8000+ 10-year-olds in 1970 to their lifestyles today.
"A Southampton University team found those who were vegetarian by 30 had
recorded five IQ points more on average at the age of 10.
Researchers
said it could explain why people with higher IQ were healthier as a vegetarian
diet was linked to lower heart disease and obesity rates."

The full article is available here if you want to learn more or try to poke holes in the results.

(In the interest of full disclosure: I'm not a vegetarian. My sister was one for many years but has recently given up the veggie lifestyle. She's still pretty clever, though. :P )
